that was amazing. i'll remember this film for years. the death and rebirth motif was brilliantly executed. truly showcasing the infinite fragility of life in every form.
The animation looks hand-drawn, but then what did you use for the coloring and "texturing" that is layered on to the drawings ? What did you use for the final compositing ?
Holy cow (or cat, as the case may be)! I am so amazed and proud of you. Favorite isolated animation is the "risen", turning-in-mid-air old man's body. The exaggerated proportions of head, arms, hands, pants, but with significant shapes - completely accepting transitions. And the dark to light next to light to dark shadows and opposing light sources. Works . . . good. Very believable angles, effective color palette as well. Way cool! So such a talented guy!
fantabulastic..... loved it....... gorgeous designs..... wonderful mood/colors..... simple yet appealing animation..... clap!!! clap!!!...has become my favourite ....:) thanks for putting it up so janta(people in Hindi) can see.
I just saw this on youtube too. You did an amazing job on this animation Ian. I love the illustration and the storyline. Can't wait to see more from you :)
This video is absolutely awesome. I can't find words good enought to stress it out.
It's so emotionally absorbing.. electric tinging all over my skin and I want to cry along with the Cat every time I watch it. It's not rare for me to feel so involved with animation films but it's exceptional.
Character design, animation is flawless - no other word for it. Every emotion is clean, faces are alive.
Another point to stress out is the music. The film just wouldn't me so magical without it. The blending of animation and music feels almost synaesthetic.
Thanks for giving such a marvelous gift to the world.

Great! But can't find the music from it... that's a pity
Anonymous: The music was written and composed by James Mark for this film.

There is only soundtrack from the Icarus and the Tree Herder :(
Anonymous: I contacted James Mark personally about the music and he was kind enough to share it with me. Try it yourself, you may also get lucky.
Amazing work, very inspirational!
2 Александр Кашев: А залить не сможете куда-нибудь для ускорения процесса?) Заранее спасибо)

Video is gone from YouTube :(
